Charlotte Karibuhoye Said
Before joining the MAVA Foundation, Ms. Charlotte Karibuhoye Said worked for 10 years at FIBA as Coordinator of the MPAs Programme. She oversaw the creation of the first West Africa regional MPA programme (RAMPAO – Regional Network of Marine Protected Areas in West Africa). Ms. Karibuhoye Said is also a member of a number of expert panels on conservation at the international level, such as IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) of which she is the deputy Regional Chairperson and Marine Coordinator for West and Central Africa. She holds a Master and PhD degree in conservation biology from the University of Goettingen, Germany.
