 Dr. García-Moreno is a biologist with a passion for nature conservation. He has carried out research at several research institutes in the USA (UCLA, University of Michigan) and Europe (University of Copenhagen, Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, University of Konstanz). He has held senior positions in several international conservation organizations, including Conservation International, Wetlands International and IUCN.

For the past eight years, he has coordinated the international program of Vogelbescherming Nederland / BirdLife in the Netherlands (VBN), playing a leading role in promoting and coordinating the conservation actions of BirdLife’s partners along the East Atlantic flyway.
