Excursion Program – FOMACO
At FOMACOSeveral excursions are organised to allow participants to discover the iconic coastal and marine ecosystems of Mauritania, as well as the local realities related to fishing and conservation.
Excursion around Nouakchott
Date: April 30, 2026
Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Fees: Free.
Target audience: Reserved for all Forum participants.
This excursion offers a guided tour around Nouakchott, including a visit to the breaches in the coastal barrier and the fish market.
Expedition to the Banc d'Arguin National Park
Departure: April 30th at 3:00 PM
Return: May 2nd at 2:00 PM
Cost: 250 euros (transport, accommodation and meals included)
This two-day excursion will take you to the heart of one of Africa's most important national parks. A unique experience within a classified ecosystem, renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and its key role in marine and coastal conservation.

Visit to Diawling National Park (PND)
Date: April 30, 2026
Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Cost: 180 euros (transport, accommodation and meals included)
Located in the Senegal River delta, Diawling National Park is a wetland of major ecological importance. This visit will allow participants to better understand the challenges of ecosystem restoration and the coexistence of conservation and local development.
