Mauritania welcomes you with immense pleasure. from April 27 to 30, 2026, at the 12th edition of the Regional Marine and Coastal Forum of the Regional Partnership for Coastal and Marine Conservation in West Africa (PRCM), dedicated to a major theme of current environmental issues: “Ocean health: the lever for a sustainable and inclusive blue economy.”
We all know it: our future depends largely on the sea. Protecting our oceans means preserving our livelihoods, strengthening the resilience of our coastal communities, and also safeguarding the beauty and balance of our territories..
The theme chosen for this edition sets us on a clear path: to make the blue economy an engine of sustainable and shared prosperity, serving everyone. The PRCM Forum is now the largest space for exchange, consultation and collaboration dedicated to marine conservation in West Africa.
Through its initiatives and partnerships, the PRCM has consistently united stakeholders, supported concrete actions, and championed our region's voice for coastal preservation.. Je tiens à saluer son engagement constant ainsi que l’impact significatif de ses interventions sur le terrain. Je suis particulièrement fière que notre pays ait été choisi pour accueillir à nouveau cette rencontre, 15 ans après la 5ᵉ édition organisée ici même.

I hope that this 12th edition of the Forum will be a source of inspiration, that it will strengthen our partnerships and pave the way for innovative, ambitious and forward-looking initiatives for a living and sustainable ocean.

Since 2004, the PRCM has organised the Regional Marine and Coastal Forum (FOMACO), which has become the essential meeting place for all stakeholders involved in the protection of marine and coastal ecosystems.
