Mr. Abdel Aziz DAHI
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bacomab, the Trust Fund for the Conservation of Marine and Coastal Biodiversity in Mauritania.
Mr. Abdel Aziz is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bacomab, the Trust Fund for the Conservation of Marine and Coastal Biodiversity in Mauritania. He also heads the investment, digital transformation and energy transition consultancy Richat Partners for Development. He holds a master’s degree in e-governance from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Université d’Orléans in France, and has held senior positions in the Mauritanian administration as Minister of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Modernization of the Administration, Minister of the Economy and Industry, Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, and Minister of the Civil Service and Modernization of the Administration.
He was also Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania (2015 – 2020) and Director of the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie. Internationally, he has represented Mauritania on major international bodies (IMF, World Bank, ADB, FMA, IFAD, G5 Sahel).
